FIFA's Dirty Secrets

India is not the only home to scams and corruptions. But FIFA, the worlds' governing body of association football was also scanned and looked intoallegations by the investigative journalist Andrew Jennings, who had been scanning FIFA for an decade now.

Within the programme he beautifully alleged that three members of FIFA’s executive committee had been given bribes by International Sports and Leisure, a marketing partner of FIFA.

The three major figures who endowed tainted image to FIFA are – Nicolas Leoz, Issa Hayatou and Ricardo Teixeira – were reportedly involved with a sports marketing firm responsible for broadcasting rights and took money from them.

Jennings further alleged that a fourth current official has been involved in ticket touting. Both of these matters had not been properly investigated by Sepp Blatter, the President of FIFA. It also made a series of claims about the bidding process for hosting the FIFA World Cup.

The documentary was broadcast only three days before the result of the bidding process for the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups were announced. This led to fears from some people that it could ruin England’s chances of hosting the former tournament, with some accusing the BBC of being unpatriotic; however, the BBC defended these claims.

Russia ultimately won the right to host the FIFA World Cup in 2018, with Qatar emerging victorious for the 2022 tournament. The question of whether the documentary was a crucial factor in England losing the contest was brought up by a number of key figures after the result was announced.

Hayatou, who is the vice-president of FIFA, denied all accusations of involvement in the scheme and claimed money was in fact paid to the Confederation of African Football (CAF). He threatened to sue the BBC for the making of the documentary. The programme received 52 complaints from viewers.

Blessed Day

It was indeed a blessed day for me. I met 3 different people on my route to office. All I offered to them was little help and in return I was blessed. The day started in a normal routine. I left for office and bid good bye to mom but she didn’t respond to it like she does. At that moment I just ignored it, and plugged in earphones. I hired the rickshaw reached metro station, aboard it and started reading magazine.  While reading only, Mum’s facial expressions distracted my attention towards her. I could feel that something was troubling her. But, I couldn’t figure out the reason and had tears in my eyes. While I was wiping up tears, the kid in her mothers lap caught my attention. This cheerful kid was enjoying his time with mom. Immediately, a backlash of good & joyful times spent with mom was there. He engaged me so well that I didn’t realize that I had reached Kashmere Gate station. I headed towards the other platform, from where I take metro for Qutab Minar. I got into metro and luckily that kid was also there in the same metro , same coach. Before I could again start thinking about Mom, the kid engrossed me with him. I was busy chatting with him, playing with him, making him quite. By this time we were at AIIMS station and time for sweet kid to depart. Before leaving, his mother thanked me and blessed me. While the kid was leaving he waved his hand to me bidding me goodbye.

Second instance was with a Christian Lady. She was in the same metro with me heading towards Arjangarh. An announcement was made at Saket station for passengers to get down at Saket station, if they were willing to move ahead Qutab station and wait for next metro, as this metro was till Qutab Minar. Most of the passengers got down waiting for the next metro but I think the Christian lady didn’t understand the announcement. By the time I explained to her that the metro wouldn’t go beyond Qutab Minar, the doors were shut. She got confused but I told her need not worry as I’ll direct her to the right platform. She was chanting the rosary and thanked me. Listening to this, she blessed me for future and gave the affectionate touch of her wrinkled hand.

Third instance was at the metro exit. Since I was in a hurry, I mistakenly collided with an uncle similar to my Dad’s age. And then very sweetly I just turned around to apologize with my hands on my ears. “Go head and bless you my Child” were the words that went to my ear.

“Bless you dear, my child, and girl” What else do you need for a day when you help someone in the need and they merrily bless you J

Operation Majnu for Male Metro Commuters

On October 2, 2010 the Delhi Metro became only the second Metro in the world to reserve special coaches for women, the first being Dubai. The DMRC took this stand in face of the many incidents of "pawing" and "feeling" that seemed to have become a daily affair. In order to ensure the safety of its women the first coach after the driver's cabin in each train has been reserved for the fairer sex. Children up to 12 years, accompanied by women passengers, are allowed to travel in the reserved coach.

However, despite the reservation being effected, there has been a stream of complaints about men who force their way in to the reserved areas. Maybe the near empty "reserved" areas are too much of a temptation amidst the overcrowded general coaches that they risk being reprimanded/fined and walk into the out-of-bounds area. The latest incident, reported on Thursday night, when a team of Haryana Police randomly entered the reserved Metro coaches only to find many men in the ladies coaches, gave birth Operation Majnu.

Operation Majnu, 2010an initiative of the Gurgaon Police, lead by DCP (west), Maheshwar Dayal, and DCP (traffic), Bharti Arora plans on taking the errant male passenger to task. Female constables in plain clothes will be travelling in the ladies coacehs and book all those men who enter the reserved coaches. The guilty will be shamed by getting a thrashing in full public view to warn and prevent others from making the same mistake.

Do not mistake this Operation with the one Operation Majnu, an on-camera operation in 2005 initiated by Meerut Police to teach lesson to local love birds who had been visiting Gandhi Park, Surajkund, Ram Park, Victoria Park and Company Garden,  favourite rendezvous of the city couples is back in 2010.

A hand at Strokes and bubbles.

Every individual hunts for new and exciting ways to spend their free time innovatively. It can also be sited this way that, in the world we live in, there is a hobby for everyone, we are good at, which we wish to follow extracting some time from our stipulated schedules. There are few hobbies, we could possibly write about and share it with others, like am doing mine. Am sure, there’ll be many who must be having this particular hobby which I like personally. Since am not a brainpan at mathematics or equations, my brain get easily diverted and attracted to outlines, strokes, dialogues, satire sense of humor in bubbles or call outs. I automatically get distracted to thej cartoons that peep out in from newspaper and magazine pages, comic books, as illustrations in books, advertisements and billboards. But at times, to few it appears as a few strokes of a pen or a flourish of brush, a simple line drawing with humorous dialogues. Seems like child's play, isn't it? That it certainly is not. Cartooning is a highly creative art. Though am not at all that creative too. But at times I like to draw my thoughts on paper. Since my maternal side is too heavily blessed with a sense of Creativeness and Cartooning, the percentage has reduced a bit, before it could reach me.

These days I had been going crazy to have my few cartoons ready and share it with you all, but couldn’t get time. But then there, there is saying, where there is a will, there is a way. It suddenly clicked to my mind, that there is a blogger in my acquaintance who has a complete blog on Cartoon Strips. I thought of asking her, how she could manage it out, uploading 4 cartoons in a week. I shot the mail to her, enquiring if she made all these cartons herself. And just within an hour, this lady, whom I recognize as Swathi Di, sorted out all my queries with the reply that TOONDOO can help you.

I couldn’t believe my eyes, when I actually checked out this particular website. The tagline for Toondoo.com is World's fastest way to create cartoons! Toondoo lets its members create comic strips with pre-built or uploaded images and text easily. This is a flash based application. The website was launched by Jambav, an Indian company, backed by Adventnet (parent company of online office application service, Zoho ).

All we need to do is drag-n-drop the characters on the canvas, change backgrounds, add speech bubbles or even upload your own pictures. Everything is packed inside a very intuitive Flash interface that even a three year old can get started in minutes.
Like Youtube videos, the viewers can rate and comment on our cartoons or embed them in blogs.

No matter I have discovered the application li’l late but may be with ToonDoo comic creator in town, professional cartoon artists might have felt the heat.

Scams routed to Sheela ki Jawaani.

The hype by the opposition for Joint Parliamentary Committe (JPC) probe into 2G Spectrum can only be diffused after a jhakkas performance by Katrian Kaif and Sheila Dixit in central hall of Parliament. All the misappropraited funds as earned from the money loaded scams by Kalmadi, Chavan and A Raja can profiatably be diluted for an ultimate enjoyments o the parliament members, 'as they say itna toh banta hai bhaai' The party is hopeful that the opposition members would forget 2G, CWG, Adarsh, and all other scams once they get the to tap the floor with Katrina.

They (opposition leaders) are also citizens of this country,” Congress spokesperson Manish Tewary said, “If the citizens of this nation can be happy with stuff like Bigg Boss and forget all the scams, there is no reason why our respected friends in the opposition can’t. They must.”
Apparently her moves help India forget all the bad scams . . :P

Sooner the sources might reveal that  Katrina is all set to become the brand ambassador of Congress as a result of an “out of court settlement” between the ruling party and producers of the upcoming Bollywood movie Tees Maar Khan (off the record). As soon as the media will play their role of exaggerating and run the ticker of breaking news, both the parties would come up with an out of court settlement as had happened in the Dabangg-Zandu Balm case,  as Malaika Arora Khan had become ambassador for Zandu Balm.

A legal notice to the producers would be the response by the Congress leader Mrs. Sheila Dikshit's for using her name in the song "Sheela Ki Jawaani" without her permission along with loosening some chillars as compensation ( Ways o making money :P). Doesn't it sound like that If the producesr would have seeked her permission or using her name then it would have been, 'SHEILA KI JAWAANI' (with change in spellings :P)

Producers of Tees Maar Khan have agreed to the proposal which would end up making Katrina Kaif, the actress dancing to the tunes of “Sheela Ki Jawaani” in the movie, as brand ambassador of Congress;

Apart from Katrina's performance to break the deadlock in parliament over the scams the party might also now  plan to use her posters from her movie Rajneeti in the upcoming elections in West Bengal, as Zandu Balm also recorded 35% sales hike ater the success o Munni Badnaam Hui.

26/11 - Awaken from thy slumber.

Friday morning, had been similar and usual morning like other week days. Listening to radio station, they reminded me of the red letter day. But still The Date, was significant than this day. Lives are still not back to normalcy. Blame Games are still on, passing the bucks to each other. Government is concerned only today for security reasons and rest of the days are in the shackles of slumber. City is being set to high alert. The anniversary had completed 2 years.

Only 35 days were left for the year to end, that the normal life was disrupted by 8 consecutive sea-borne terrorist attacks at South Mumbai by the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba (LET). News channels were flashing with the Breaking News. A panic was there. Today is 26/11. After this event, the attacks are commonly referred to in India as "26/11", after the date in 2008 that they began. But has this attack brought any changes to our nation? What mechanism or actions have been done to prevent the attack of this magnitude? A great deal of noise was made post-26/11 for upgrading internal security structures, both at the Centre and in the States. But if we actually analyze one year later, the situation is still vulnerable and Mumbaikars, worried and far from secure. The grandeur Taj Mahal Palace, which was destroyed in the 26/11 terror attack on Mumbai, has finally restored its heritage suites and opens for its guest. So, Tata kept their words, but how about the leaders? They showed their concerns to threatened lives only till the times vote banks were filled. Some relief was attained with the decision of death sentence to the Pakistani terrorist, Mohammad Ajmal Kasab.

But some good has also been done against seaborne terror i.e., it is guarded by a new network of 73 coastal police stations (Kochi). On the whole, the attack is still alive in our minds, raising many questions for the progresses made so far and what better could be done besides expecting some support from supreme power US, to take care of the menace carried by Pakistan and talks with the neighbouring country. Thus, like everyone, I pay homage to the jawans, citizens, foreign officials and tourists, Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad Chief Hemant Karkare,  Additional Commissioner of Police: Ashok Kamte, Encounter specialist: Vijay Salaskar, Sourav Mishra, a Reuters journalist who lost their lives. May their souls rest in peace.

Untamed Dream

A succession of images, movements, whispers, sounds or emotions that the mind experiences at its restful stage, when one is unconscious in their slumber. They peek into our subconscious state, reveal our deepest, darkest fantasies. At times when we are out of balance with our natural pattern of life, our subconscious sends us to this alien world full of fantasies and far away from our real life. Many have been taught that these are superstitious, dangerous or to be avoided and therefore many have shied away from delving into their own world. I talk about dreams that are nurtured by ones own sense of creativity, somewhere deeply linked to our problems, to serve ourselves with the codified solutions. Dreams are the touchstones of our character.

This morning I dreamt and I followed, Widely spaced bells, ringing in the wind, And climbed through mists to rosy clouds, I realized my destined affinity, A beautiful Church, Where I had landed mistakenly,

The stage was set for the Christmas Eve, a zestful event for all Christians, thus bringing in new signs of joy to their life.  In my dream, a blonde girl, caught my attention for the innocence on her face. She stood there calm and quite in the icy land, accompanied by her parents and her elder sibling. Clad in winter clothes, muffler around her neck and a nicely tied plait. Holding her father’s finger the blonde was walked down streets with an eager observation to all directions. Until the time she had reached the destination, the divine place, Church she kept looking at her back to check if her elder brother had been following her or not. The young innocent girl seemed quite possessive about her dearest possession, her eldest brother. He meant a life to him. There she sat in the church, offering her prayers to the Christ and somewhere within her prayers her brothers concern was a constant mention. But then the undesirable happens, the moment this little honey opens her eyes, she doesn’t find her brother to be around. Before I could help the tiny tot finding her brother, my mom gave me a reason to wake up this wonderful morning and get ready for office. This little girl is their in my thoughts now, as I could figure out myself at her place, sharing the same compassion of love for brother. I was helpless but want to help her willingly. Dreams are untamed but I wish to tame this one again and see a smile on her face holding her brother’s finger.

Accessorized ‘Me’

Different shapes(Geometric or Irregular), length(Short or Long), sizes(bold or tiny), colours(Dazzling or matte), material (Silver or Gold) and styles(Shimmering) are the best variable options available now. Girl’s shopping list is almost incomplete without the buy of these. Every chick can be knocked out with the variations. Also I have made it quite convenient for my friends to gift me with the variations of it on my birthday. My friends call me lunatic, observing my crazines and obsession for these but then complement me as Confident Diva, who believes in her own statement.

“In the morning I think accessories first, then clothes second, says Hollywood celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe.” I follow the same notion as stated by Hollywood stylist Zoe. First thing on my mind are not the attires but the accessories to team up. I can miss anything else but not my neck piece. It’s a big must in my bank of accessories.

We might be in our favorite jeans and flip-flops but once we throw on a great belt around the waist, colourful scarf around the neck, or with some dazzling chains we are much closer to looking fabulous, colourful and lively.  It simply adds a different tone to our wardrobes and our confidence level. I believe that far more than clothes, accessories allow us to turn out graceful and nurture our inner fashion chameleon. Our shoes, jewellery, sunglasses, belts and bags say much more about our fashion statements and confidence level.

The girls alike me who love to maintain their own individual fashion statement know the power of accessories which includes the power of a trendy bag, trendy flip-flops or stilettos, teamed up with right neck piece. In short, I love myself accessorised.

Being female we are much advantageous to play with lots of stuff and not dress up monotonously like guys. We are fortunate enough to experiment a new colour almost everyday no matter casually or formally. We love to wear matching neck pieces or jewellery with their attire whether it’s a western outfit or a traditional ethnic piece, cotton sari. Silver and gold have always been there, but now dazzling long, multicoloured, huge, beaded, funky chains are new add ons to jewellery boxes with matching bangles, bracelets, earrings or scarves.
My accessories somehow give me a sense of confidence to carry myself differently. For few fashion turns out to be disastrous, until and unless we aren’t ‘exesscorrised’. So be beware!! Since I have a personal liking for almost all kinds of accessories disregarded to branded or street, I love to notice gals who carry themselves in an nicely and complement too if they out stand the crowd.

We mustn’t forget that we are never too old to create our own sense of personal style with just mild efforts. Just adding just one single wow piece with varied lengths of beads or chains can add a tone to both our outer look and our inner confidence. Points to be remembered for a smart dresser is that one should play in a subtle manner with colours and lengths, keeping in mind the dimensions of one’s own body so as not to fall prey to the chit-chat for the gatherers.
Now almost new colour palettes are in with pastel, monochromatic and fluorescent shades. What is important is to keep in mind, the occasion; the dimensions and the match with other accessories and you can just flaunt the true of yourself. Hit the streets with confidence.

Go get accessorized!!

Honk !! Honk !! Gurgaon Commuters.

Radio Autos as they were in Chandigarh

Public transport has always been of maximum concern, specially making it inconvenient for the elderly and women in NCR, especially to the full fledged business hub Gurgaon. But here the wait ends as exciting news for Gurgaon commuters is out. After straggling it all finally radio auto makes it way onto the roads of Gurgaon from 22 Novemeber though they did facea failure in Chandigarh incurring a loss of few thousands in comparison to the fraudulent scams that we hear every morning. . Someone year back I was a daily commuter to Gurgaon so this auto thing did fascinate me, as at times I had to grapple while commutation. What was more interesting is the accessibility with the helpline number (0124-2343434) and the facilty will be there for the inner paths of Gurgaon only. To make the facility available to the masses in Gurgaon advertisements have already made rounds to the city, which I haven’t noticed as yet. Since we all know that Gurgaon is beckoned as a business hub with the presence for most of the corporate houses and a lower classes traveling from Delhi to NCR, I am sure that this facility will surely be a great help for women and labours.

On an account of fares, the pockets will have to shed Rs 50 for first 3 kms and  Rs 8 for subsequent kms. No compromises have been made on the timing from 6:30 am to 11:30pm.

These autos will be equipped and featured with safety measures like Global Positioning System (GPS) to track the auto position, a panic button for the commuters and a current immobilizer (to disconnect the electrical circuit in case of a CNG fire) inclusive of Mobile Phone charging socket.

Though now the City buses and cabs had been available for commutation but not to the inner areas. Keeping fingers crossed we hope that this facilty really does some good to daily commuters since its high time that the city desperately needs intra-city transport as soon as possible.

Key to Happiness :)

If there would have not been any restrictions, life would have been an exaggerated version of freedom. Imagining a life where there is no one to guide you through or any limitation on anything you do just makes life appear so meaningless and tasteless. We often see people crib over something they wanted to do but couldn’t because they see ahead of them obstacles or restrictions. These limitations put their will power to attest and gauge the determination of the person to attain the objective.

These restrictions which when imposed lend thrill and excitement and offer a challenge to people that brings out the needy side of their nature and helps them judge the same. Hence life is full of obstacles for which we should be thankful to the divine maker of mankind because it is these restrictions that enhance a person’s endurance and always teaches a lesson.

During childhood, children want to have the exact toy that their friend has bought. It’s the very first sight of the new exotic thing that lures them into having it. They end up demanding it from their parents and when not heeded by their folks results in a few days of crying and even more in sadness. But then as days pass by, they learn to overcome the fact that they were unable to have the toy which they wanted so badly. That’s the brighter side; it teaches you to accept the feeling of deprivation and heals the void suffered.

Similarly, in your teenage, you are not permitted for a party or celebration of which you want to desperately be a part of. So the entire cycle is repeated but doing less damage and faster recovery. Consequently, our life gets accustomed to this process of desire, failure, acceptance, recovery and so forth. This reminds of the first walk we have which is immediately followed by our very first fall. That tender age begins the process which continues till your final last breath. Throughout the journey of life we keep experiencing such incidents which define who we really are.

Thus, we need to endure failure and accept it. That’s the keyword to happy state of being. It’s the answer to most of our mind puzzling questions.

Moderation

Transformation is a process of reformation or modification in our outlook as to how we look at things and tackle them out at our own wits. How we look at things is also called perception in other common terms. Exactly, the origin shift to introspect and to successfully manipulate and perceive the concepts in other senses too. That means if we cannot see the beauty, if we cannot realize the worth; there might be other perceptions too. The other perceptions might look at the same from a different angle, reflecting other waves. The different angle may lead to transformation of any kind. Transformation can be in a single viewpoint and can happen in a single second of realization.

If it is a realization which is actually illusion, then again a transformation is required. That is felt through higher responsiveness to different kind of known and unknown processes in general. Normally there is an illusion of transformation of mentality but actually it’s the reflection of the fight of being with their will to exist with consciousness. Actually the being also wants to feel its subconscious existence consciously. Otherwise why the faiths turn up into deceptive and misleading realizations? This is because consciously one wants to feel like it. Even if one understands that there is higher probability of kind of myth involved in the process, then also he selects the illusion. This is normally because of lack of equilibrium (fight) between consciences and desires (wants in existence).

Normally, a realization of illusion needs to be handled on a probability basis. According to me, there is no perfect answer to find out whether the realization was an illusion or not. Realization can be a step towards maturity or again a downtrodden step. But via willpower, this can be resolved. E.g. Edison (who invented bulb), thousand but one downtrodden experiments, in the end success!

Co(w)mmon Wealth Games ? OR Common Weallth Shames ?

A ball ranging from Table Tennis to Basketball, hockey sticks, Long Jumps, Shotput, Swimming, Cycling, heavy weights, shuttle cocks are not the items merely seen in a particular city, state or country but worldwide. All these have created significance in each country in their own way aprt from fitness and leisure purpose. One suc term or event that serves as a platform to all nations and individual towards being global is Sports, and further Commonwealth Games. The hallmark sporting event are not connected only to enjoyment but are binoculars for the Growth & Development of the economy of the host nation.

Honk !! Honk !! Burp !! Chaos !! Flurp !! Abey Chal Naa, Badayega aagey…. And so on… Noises noticed at the busy road blocked by the Holy Cows. A common scene observed daily at the roads when the Capital is at the buzz preparing itself for an Inter- national Sporting Event, CWG 2010, with less than a month left to open the account as an International Event. I am sure you all must have thought for different innovative names, for it has been in news for all Bad Reasons and Issues. According to me, we should get the approval from the Federation to change it to Co(W)mmon Wealth Games( Looking at the daily Road Scenes)or Common Wealth Shames(Literally being punctual to Deadlines and concerntrating over amassing nation’s wealth). . .

What a Divine Scene!! Cows welcoming us standing in the mid or infront of our vehicles, without even responding to our Honks, as if they are busy with their kitty parties or the Sports Conference for CWG. This also reminds me of Paul Octopus, predicting future about CWG. :)

I wonder if the games were associated only with amassing the nation wealth and not with the words of the delegates, not to mention who?. The Sports Ministry is not the only the associated ones but some responsibilities lies with MCD, Delhi Govt, Central Govt and the Vigilant CItizens, to name a few.

The elements that automatically relate to CWG are not only huge infrastructures, stadiums, seating capacity or transport but also fetches attention towards Security Issues, Accomodation, Employment generated, Resources, Materials used, Responsibilities on the part of authorities, Citizens and Media, Road qualities to be used for commutation and stray animals( buffalo, cows and Dogs thus fulfilling the tagline of Incredible India, Athithi Devo Bhavay :)

The Stark questions to the event involves the rationale of spending more than a billion dollars on a sporting event of this kind in a country like India, which is already struggling with numerous issues where the disparity between the rich and the poor is disturbingly wide. While we wish to forget the hiking Inflation rate for honouring the participating 72 nations, The people in charge of the games are busy presenting a picture of incompetence(Usage of Substandard Material) , Corruption(Amassing Wealth) and inefficiency(Repeated Delays) worldwide.

Will this turn out only to be an exercise in politician-induced patriotism and nationalism with political interests in mind? As the Labels and Whispers related to the officiating people involved their concentration over dodging reporters misguiding them, shoddy constructions, failure to deadlines have been making the access to all inclusive of the International authorities for months. None of the visits made by the International Authority of Olympic Association till now have had a contended positive remark. Thus again achieving another failures. Instead, when the –ve’s were being spotted out (loose tiles, loose grilles, unfinished staircases and seating arrangements, protruding iron rods, leaking roofs and walls, and debris inside and out) in the Vigilance reports, Suresh Kalmadi, shirked his shoulder with a simple reply that he is concerned not about the constructions but to make it a successful event. But will someone shake him and tell him, that the Spectacular event isn’t possible without the structures.

Even if the efforts were being made by the contracters somehow, to build huge structures, the rains have spilled it out. The event's two shooting ranges, have been extensively damaged in the downpour. A week earlier, the temporary roof of the table-tennis court in the Yamuna Sports Complex collapsed under another deluge, and the new Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Swimming Complex, hyped as the best aquatic arena in the country, is now a mess of debris, electric cables and leaking eaves. Adding another glory to this is a Young swimmer who tripped on a loose grill and hurt herself during the National Federation Cup, a test event held at the recently finished Talkatora Stadium.

Reckoning that there are two flips to a coin, if positives are counted undoubtedly a negative too are counted. Moving step by step with all the achievements and improvements, I can throw light over the above fact with evidences. Logically thinking what all is necessary for an event.

Tourism Sector

Firstly, this would have been the best chance for India to showcase their efficiency level at par with China’s hosted Olympic Games in 2008, in aspects of Tourist Attractions, Infrastructures, Employment, Social Environment. There’s no denial to the fact that this event will help India to surpass the tides of global recession, by making a dramatic change and bringing boom to Tourism Industry, thus all efforts in promoting spots like famous world heritage Taj Mahal, the star attractions of India, Jaipur – the Pink City of India, Ranthambhore – the land of tigers, and Corbett National Park, beautiful hill station, Shimla. This was the highlight about the Monetary Incurrs.

Social Environment

Talking about the Social Environment, the authorities efforts have been majorly to improve travel and transportation facility before the Commonwealth Games 2010 modernizing the airport and currently in the process of modernizing the railways station, besides upgrading bus terminal and introduced new and better buses. But completely neglecting the routes which connects the main destinations like Cannaught Place from Punjabi Bagh. Still we can spot potholes, without any warning barriers to intimate about the danger. This is the kind of Safety being provided. No doubts about the efforts being done to complete the other phases to connect all major places via metro, but then delay in lagging for Kirti Nagar Phase, but seeing the present scenario it appears as if sooner Delhi Metros will be like Mumbai Local trains, the way the citizens are illtreating the property.

Employment

Will it really have notable positive effects on the community, like Labourers ? When it comes to building structures, the main performers are the backbreaking labourers, who slaved on contract basis at bulk, but the suitable conditions provided to them were underpaid, miserable conditions, no security to their jobs after the event. And when it will be come to the names of the contributors for the successful event, if done, they’ll be invisible workforce, nobody to praise their hard labour. For a country like India which Poverty stricken, one good thing has been 8% growth rate. The worst part has been that they are left at the mercy of contractors for hefty profits and commissions. Lured by employment prospects being offered , millions have started pouring in from the rural hinterland

Green Games ; Green Environs

Altogether the promoting camps present a picture that is it’ll be ‘Green Games’ thus sacrificing the grown up trees and building structures. But no effort has been notified from the departments for planting of trees, thus leading to polluted city instead of Pollution free.

Indian & Pakistani not as opponents but in one Team

Rare Scene at Louis Armstrong Stadium, New York

INDIA-PAK EXPRESS Tennis Duo (Rohan Bopanna from India and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi from Pakistan) (Literally in one team and not as opponents) were cheered by both Indian & Pakistani supporters and UN diplomats from 2 countries.

An unusual elated moment when the delegates, UN Ambassador of India, Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri & Abdullah Hussain Haroon of Pakistan were spotted together, amidst spectators cheering up the duo at US Open Semi Finals Men's Doubles at New York under the sunny spot, thus evidently presented another Goodwill Gesture towards the ongoing Campaign for Peace.

Lately it was India's support during floods(A supportive hand by India for the Rehabilitation Phase) and now its Sports, Tennis(with a slogan written on warm up jackets of the players : Stop War, Start Tennis) trying to mend knots between the 2 nuclear armed countries, who have been tiffing over n number of issues since decades; Disputed Territory, Water Disputes, Terrorism to name a few.

Recently many such events have been noticed for the good cause towards the peace process Like,Aamn Ki Asha by dignified performers in the metropolitian cities, then a singing chore platform Chotte Ustaad, not bifurcating the borderline literally.

Highlighting over the Duo's friendship, they met each other at a Tennis Camp as 16 year old, and they have been playing since 2003. Both speciallising in their techniques, one in Volleys and the other at Baseline have the reasons to pair-up. They say they gel up so well on and off the court, so could Indians & Pakistanis. They have an immense faith in their game and they understand that more such initiatives need to be started to mend relations. hat dream of having one showpiece of Tennis Game at Wagah, where tourists watch the ceremonial changing of the guard. Amen !!! Hope this effort is soon initiated.

The United States has pushed hard behind the scenes to improve relations between India and Pakistan, hoping that peace on Pakistan’s eastern border will allow the country to focus on the problems of militancy in the western tribal areas.

But U.S. diplomats may not feel entirely at ease with Mr. Qureshi’s views about how to achieve stability. Like many people in Pakistan, he expresses a belief that his country would calm down in the absence of the U.S. anti-terrorism efforts.

Floods Goodwill Gesture for Indo-Pak.

UN Efforts ? Peace Meets ? Chidambaram's Efforts ? Nothing worked for improving Indo-Pak Relations. But, devastating floods, which had spread across one-fifth of the land, impacting approx 20 Million lives, seems to be a Goodwill Gesture.

To keep moving the recovery and rehabitation phase to Pakistan flood victims, both India & UN have launched and extended the help for USD 5 Million & USD 291 Million respectively increasing further to USD 20 Million & USD 460 Million.

As India's Ambassador to the UN Hardeep Singh Puri stated last month that India will be privileged to be of assistance to their neighbours within their abilities. This statement certainly shows a positive view that Indian heart can do much more burying the past hostilities.

But What is more fussy and highlighting is the significance of the extended amount for recovery phase ? Will this help be in real terms have a good impact and work towards better relations ? Will it forward peace process or will it be termed merely as Demanding Tool for Pak to surrender ? Well as per my opinion this lays in the hands of the participants and the motives of the Doer, Politicians , Citizens and Media of the 2 countries.

Conclusion : Let's keep our fingers crossed and not malice the support for Politics.
